Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby
Edward Barber was born in Shrewsbury, U.K. in 1969 and graduated from the Royal College of Arts in London with a Master's degree in Architecture. Jay Osgerby was born in Oxford, U.K. in 1969 and studied at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design before graduating from The Royal College of Arts in London with a Master's degree in Architecture.
E. Barber and J.Osgerby Collaboration
The two began their collaboration as students at RACA and have since created everything from furniture, lighting, household products, restaurants, shops, bottles, and electronic products for companies based in Europe, Asia, and North and South America.
E.Barber and J. Osgerby Designs
They were jointly named “Designers of the Future” at Design Basel/Miami in June 2006. Since then, Barber & Osgerby have been developing collections for leading manufacturers and clients such as Magis, Authentics, Venini, Swarovski, FLOS, Established & Sons, and Panasonic.
E. Barber and J, Osgerby’s lamp designs work is found in many permanent collections including the V&A Museum, London, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York and the Design Museum, London.
Their studio is based in London.
