Flos Bulbo57 Pendant Light
The Bulbo57 pendant light by Flos was designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for an installation at the XI Triennale in Milan in 1957. When one lamp was connected to others in a series for this exhibition, the light output drastically reduced and the colour of the internal filament turned into a reddish hue, giving off a low-intensity, warm ambient light. The 2019 edition by Flos reproduces its filament in tungsten with an LED source, preserving the same colour and intensity of the light as in the original. The light temperature of 2200°K was selected to replicate that of the traditional incandescent lamp. The same applies to the high CRI (95), which guarantees a high-quality standard of chromatic performance.
