The Willydilly Pendant Light from Ingo Maurer is an iconic, highly playful suspension lamp designed by Ingo Maurer himself in 1983. Embodying his signature approach of blending everyday utility with poetic art, the lamp features a flexible, DIY silhouette resembling a coiled seashell or a snail. The lamp's body is made entirely of a single piece of high-quality, translucent white cardboard. It gracefully wraps around the bare bulb mechanism. The shade is attached to the main suspension cable using a clear, minimalist Japanese clothes peg. By moving or re-clamping the peg, you can manually coil the cardboard tighter or widen it. Wrapping it tightly concentrates the illumination down into a focused spotlight, while opening it up diffuses a broader, glare-free glow directly through the paper fibers.
