The Pic-a-stic Pendant Light from Ingo Maurer is an interactive, highly-customisable suspension lamp designed by Andreas Walther in 2022. True to the brand's signature blending of poetry and humor, it turns the owner into a co-designer by encouraging them to arrange the fixture's components themselves. The design captures the precise "stop-motion" animation moment when a bundle of classic Mikado sticks is released and begins to scatter through the air. The fixture is delivered as a kit containing 50 artfully lacquered wooden rods and a set of flexible silicone/rubber rings. The owner physically plugs the rods into the central rubber ring structure. It can be built in at least 14 distinct configurations, allowing you to completely change its graphic silhouette and shadow projection.
